DensDeck StormX Prime Roof Board Meets Very Severe Hail Standard

Picture a laboratory-made ice ball, 2 inches in diameter, hurled by an ice launcher at 152 to 160 feet per second. DensDeck® StormX™ Prime Roof Board by Georgia-Pacific Gypsum passed that test.

It is the first gypsum coverboard to meet Factory Mutual (FM) Global Very Severe Hail (VSH) classification when used as part of single-ply roofing systems. And – just in time for the 2021 hailstorm season – it is the latest addition to Mule-Hide Products’ lineup of low-slope roofing coverboards.

Featuring an enhanced, moisture-resistant core and coated fiberglass mat facers, it stands up to wind, hail, and excessive foot traffic, protecting the roof assembly from punctures. It is the ideal coverboard choice for roofs in the Very Severe Hail zone, spanning Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming.
