11. Adhesives – Types & Uses:
- PVC Bonding Adhesive (amber) to fully
adhere PVC membrane and flashing materials to acceptable insulation
boards, metal, wood & other
acceptable substrates on both horizontal & vertical surfaces.
- TPO Bonding Adhesive (amber) to fully
adhere TPO membrane and flashing materials to acceptable insulation
boards, metal, wood & other
acceptable substrates on both horizontal & vertical surfaces.
- DecTec® Water Base Latex Adhesive (beige) to fully adhere DecTec® Walkable PVC
to plywood surfaces only (must be a clean porous surface, not for use in temperatures under 50 degrees F). Single-side application
by trowel on the plywood substrate only. Requires 4 to 6 hours
to set. Not for use on vertical surfaces.
- DecTec® Solvent Base Adhesive (clear) to adhere DecTec® Walkable PVC to concrete or other non-porous - horizontal or vertical surfaces (not for use in temperatures lower than 34 degrees
F). 2-sided application by trowel or medium nap roller to both surfaces – back
of membrane sheet & substrate. Also works well on clean metal flashings.
