Inc., Beloit, Wisconsin, introduces Mule-Hide Modular Aluminum Breather, the company’s exclusive design to relieve trapped moisture and heat build-up below the roof deck in modular construction.  Accommodates standard roofing fasteners, for ease of installation in combination with a Mule-Hide Premolded Pipe Boot with Tape to provide a watertight yet breathable seal.

Vents and breathers are used to prevent moisture vapor and heat from becoming trapped below the roof deck.  The new Mule-Hide Modular Aluminum Breather allows for both exhaust and convective movement of air.  It prevents, snow or blowing rain from entering the structure.

The Mule-Hide Modular Aluminum Breather is installed along with a Mule-Hide Premolded Pipe Boot with Tape.  The boot is pre-taped to easily adhere to the roof membrane and includes a metal clamping ring to attach and seal the boot to the breather.  This two-product system offers substantial cost savings by eliminating the need to purchase uncured flashing tape and by reducing labor costs.  The system may be used to meet building code requirements and Mule-Hide roofing system warranty requirements.  Mule-Hide professional roofing systems to fit modular structures are sold nationwide and in Canada at local distributors near modular plants and offices.
